Good Afternoon-
After a brief freeze...the blog is back up and running!
It was so great to see everyone this morning after two "cold" days in a row! That was a once in a lifetime situation!
Because it has been awhile since we visited the library, we ventured down this morning to check out some new books. Not everyone had their books today (since it's not library day), but we will go back again on Monday as scheduled.
We read a story, A Bed for Winter, about a dormouse looking for a place to rest for the winter. We looked for our new sight words he and for while reading this book. Super Improvers look for words they know when they are reading, so many of us earned Super Improver Stickers this morning!
During journals, half of us worked on turning one of our journal pages into fancy writing. Doing your very best can sometimes take time, so we will continue to work on these pages this week.
The other half of the room explored a new app called, Super Duper Storymaker. Today students were allowed to create whatever they wanted, exploring different features the app has to offer. Next week, we will take our fancy writing, and publish our work using this app. (I'm interested to see how the typing skills work out!)
This afternoon we celebrated Liam's 1/2 Birthday! Happy 1/2 Birthday Liam and thanks for the cupcakes!!!
Looking forward to another busy day tomorrow!
Love,
Mrs. Huettl
