Good Afternoon,
Everyday I am thankful for the abundance of windows we have in our classroom, but today in particular was special. Watching the snowflakes fall this afternoon, and experiencing the joy of the children as they talk about all the fun activities involving snow-makes you forget about the sloppy commute home :)
Today was a great day of learning. We searched for the letter S,s in our new poem.
We did a guided drawing, where students must listen to directions to know what to draw onto their paper. Our end result was a blackbird to illustrate our poem!
During our journal time today each student was given an individual writing goal. An important piece of goal setting is sharing your goal with someone. We shoulder-shared our goals on the carpet. Tomorrow we start earning stickers towards our goals.
This afternoon we continued to work on number writing and also started an art project that will decorate our windows for the next couple of weeks.
Have a wonderful evening!
Love,
Mrs. Huettl
