Taking Turns

Good Afternoon,

Another busy day jam packed with learning!  This morning we added to our vocabulary by reading our story One Little Mouse a little more closely.  We used pictures, surrounding text, and a little background knowledge to figure out words such as hollow, shadows, woodland, and vale.

We also continued our work on blends with an independent activity.  Students had to match the correct blend with the picture.

One of our new word work choice is window writing.  We have window markers from Crayola and students can choose to write sight words on the windows in our classroom!

We started our paper unit today, but passing out all the paper samples was a bit crazy, and grabbing the camera was not a top priority. Next week we will test out which paper sample is best to write on.

This afternoon we played a new game called the Attribute Spinner Game.

Drive safe if you need to be out and about this evening!  Cross your fingers that we will have school tomorrow!!!!

Love,
Mrs. Huettl
