Today was a little bit goofy in the Huettl Hive. We changed our schedule around a bit and had Spanish class this morning instead of Friday afternoon!!!
During our Morning Meeting we have been learning the formal handshake greeting. We are almost to get around the entire circle without having to remind anyone to use the other hand. :)
We worked on building our stamina and read for just under 14 minutes!!! Mrs. Huettl started meeting with a couple friends at a time, in preparation of our guided reading groups started in another week or so.
We also learned about setting today!
We are started a new thing in kindergarten: Data Notebooks! These notebooks are a way to track our own learning and take ownership of our progress. Students are coloring in their data that was collected in August and will begin to add their new learning in the next couple of weeks! Here is a look at the inside of our data notebooks:
This afternoon we worked in our journals, had computer class, and talked about feelings with Mr. Tinjum.
