This morning we had our bus evacuation practice. We all went into a school bus and listened about all the different emergency exits! Then we practiced leaving the back of the bus by sitting down and sliding off the floor. Mr. Messicci was there to help us.
We had TWO Mystery Letters today. We made curly c's and orange o's with an octopus.
We also met with our buddies this morning. We took turns either reading stories with our buddies or playing a new math game, Top It. Our buddies helped us to learn the math game.
In our math lesson we practiced counting backwards from 10. We read two stories, Ten in the Bed and Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. We crouched down and counted backwards to zero and then blasted off like a rocket! Then, we all pretended to be monkeys jumping on the bed (our carpet). We kept jumping until all of our friends, "fell" off the bed. Some of us used up a lot of energy jumping around!
This afternoon in addition to Spanish and Movement classes, we celebrated Birk's 6th birthday! Happy Birthday Birk!!!!
